The painting represents a certain point in time in the life of the artist. Like a milestone or a section of an autobiography. He creates a diary of paintings rather than just words. The ninth day of September is one of those Abfillage works where newspapers are used to preserve stories. In this work, Ivorian newspapers are used which were collected on the artist's visit to Abidjan.
On the ninth of September 2023, he left his country for the first time to Ivory Coast for his art show; "Découvertes", a french word for "Discoveries".
The moment captured here was on an airport shuttle bus which he boarded immediately after getting off the plane.
Abfillage is a word derived from three words "Abstract, figurative and collage" as forms of expression in art.
